| Happy New Year |
[Jan. 1st, 2009|10:09 am] |
Happy New Year everyone!
2008 was up and down for me. Losing two jobs, a pregnancy that was not the easiest in the world to manage properly, moving back in with my mother, I can say that I have had my fair share of obstacles to overcome, but I am glad I went through them. There are realizations that I have come to that I would not have otherwise had I not.
For my resolution for this year, I am keeping it sort of simple. Since I still feel a little displaced after all that I have experienced, I am going to keep better contact with the people that I know, so I don't forget anyone. Going to Toni's party last night made me realize that there were a lot of people that remembered ME, so I feel that it is my duty to do the same. So don't be surprised, gang, if you get a miscellaneous birthday or holiday card in the mail from me, appreciate the little things.
Hopefully 2009 is off to a good start for all of you, and I hope to see many of you soon. Take care for now,
-Nicole |

| Pictures |
[Dec. 21st, 2008|09:55 pm] |
I know everyone, especially my ATL peeps are very excited and anxious to see pictures of Kathryn.
However, Nate and I are still a little wary of posting pictures of her on the intarwebs (don't ask why, we just are) so if you would like pictures of the baby and you promise you wont post it on the internets, email your snail mail address to nicole.storch@yahoo.com and when I get the picture pakage from the hospital, I will send you a wallet picture. (and I will add you to my holiday card list thingy)
Thanks so much for your well wishes and support everybody!

| Registers for dummies. |
[Sep. 26th, 2008|06:08 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | frustrated | ] | Okay, the register at Michael's is stupidly easy. You key in the dollar amt that the customer gives you, and the screen tells you the correct amt of change to give back. So if you your register is off by more than a dollar, you are a moron.
Oh, and it helps to tell you manager that you rang up a transaction twice, so that way when there is a twenty dollar discrepancy and she is counting MY till, she's not venting to me about you fucking up, taking longer to fix your mistake, which takes her longer to get to my till so I can go HOME.
But what do I know, I am just a new kid on the block too. Apparently 12 years of retail experience mean nothing to a 19 year old that acts like she is 5. |

| Confessions of a cheeseburger |
[Sep. 3rd, 2008|08:05 pm] |
|
So I am in a McDonald's today, ordering the same thing I always do. #2 with lettuce. As I am leaving the restaurant, I think of all the other menu options. Then I realized, I have never eaten a Big Mac. Something small and insignificant, but something that is generally viewed as a stereotypically "American" sandwich. It makes me wonder, what is something that you all have not not done that others would think all Americans have done at least once? |

| [ | mood |
| | hungry | ] | here's a short version of the short version:
-I'm having a baby. (no congratulations or "how did this happen?" needed. two words: unprotected sex) -Moving back to Charlotte on Sept. 5 for a couple years to finish my degree. (I would like to get back in contact with my Charlotte peeps while im up there....Talia, Jaime, Jeremy, Adam, Sarah....etc.) -Don't worry Atlanta, I'll be back when I am done with school. Nate and I will be more financially stable if we do things this way.
-N
edit: Adam/Sarah (or anyone else I know that lives in Charlotte, but you two especially) I need your snail mail address so I can send shower invitations. You can send to ncstorch@yahoo.com so you are not giving your personal info over the public intarwebs. kthx |

| Interview from Kim, im too lazy to cut. |
[Feb. 27th, 2007|10:07 pm] |
1) What customer has made the largest impression on you? (Invitation for a "tale from work" here.)
The year of the XB360 launch. I had a customer that worked in a mall on the other end of town. She had pre ordered a system, but the idiot at the store she ordered it from sold it to someone else. She was doing some Xmas shopping for things in my mall and told me the story. She was a friend of mine, and I knew she had a son in the hospital, and that it was all he asked for the entire year. So I worked with my District Manager calling stores all over the state to find her one. We did, and I drove two hours to get it for her and make her son's holiday a little brighter. Situations like these make me realize I really do love my job and I really enjoy helping others besides myself.
2) Can you curl your tongue?
Yuppers. *curls tounge*
3) What's the story behind the userpic?
Umm, I love final fantasy, and Im obsessed with black and red mages. I also played a black mage full to 60 when I was active on ffxi. That, and I can't find a dancing red mage gif.
4) How did you become involved with LPP?
From one of my co-workers, Amber, before she started working for me. I told her I had done RHPS in the past when I lived in Ohio and NC, and I went to see the anniversary show in 2006. I've been going and participating ever since.
5) If you could plan a meal for the world, what would be on the menu?
Dood. Cake. Marie Antoinette version. Put THAT in a bento box. I dare you. |

| I'm Okay |
[Jan. 14th, 2007|12:30 pm] |
So yeah....I've done some really dumb shit this past week.
Last night was no exception, as it made me sick to the point that I lost control of myself and I could not get out of the car. If I got any worse than the condition that I was in, I would have asked to be driven to a hospital.
I am never doing that again, I learned my lesson. Thanks go out to Jon, Renee, and Steve (and i think Leah, I remember Leah coming to the car at one point) for making sure that I was okay.
Ceez, I'm sorry for not being able to make the show. I hope you aren't too disappointed. That kind of behavior will not happen again...
Rod, I'm going to pay for your WoW copy and you guys can give me the money at the cast meeting.
See some of you on Wednesday.
